Electronic Arts and Mpath have announced an online gaming agreement that would bring many of EA's games exclusively to Mplayer. This partnership will probably become a big factor to online gamers when deciding on a multiplayer service considering EA has been a major player in the production of hit titles like Need for Speed and the NBA Live series. Larry Probst, chairman and c.e.o. of Electronic Arts, said "We are pleased to announce our relationship with Mpath. As one out the leaders in online game services, Mpath is an excellent choice for expanding our audience to a whole new group of players who are looking for a fast-action multiplayer gaming experience." In addition to the recent agreement, EA has also made a minority investment in Mpath although there weren't any financial terms disclosed. |
