For those of you contemplating running out and buying Interstate 76 but are wondering whether you should wait on a special version for 3D accelerator cards, don't worry. Activision is hard at work putting together a patch that will allow auto vigilante guild members to run the game on any graphics card that supports Microsoft's Direct3D API. When it's done, the patch will be freely downloadable from www.activision.com and www.stb.com. STB has just released its Nitro3D accelerator based on the new VIRGE GX chip, and is bundling a full version of the I-76 with the 4MB version of the card.-George T. Chronis
